AI Notion Emoji Generator
Notion emoji maker
Make custom Notion emoji with AI. Describe any emoji, generate a crisp transparent-background PNG, and add it to Notion in seconds. Notion custom emoji work in three places at once: as page icons, as reactions on comments, and inline in text. One upload covers all three, which makes them a lightweight way to brand a workspace's pages.
Emojis you create are public and may appear in Explore.
How to add a custom emoji to Notion
- 1
Save the emoji as a transparent PNG, larger than 128 px if it will double as a page icon.
- 2
In Notion open Settings from the sidebar, then Emoji, and choose Add emoji.
- 3
Upload the PNG and name it; it joins the workspace's custom set.
- 4
Type a colon and the name inline, pick it as a page icon, or use it as a reaction.
What people actually make Notion emoji for
Teams use Notion custom emoji as a page taxonomy: one icon per project, one per team, one per status, so a page's icon says what it is before the title does. The reaction use follows once the set exists.
Named at upload and typed with a colon prefix inline. Workspace owners can edit or remove any custom emoji, and can restrict creation to owners if the set is getting noisy.
Worth knowing before you upload
- Custom emoji belong to the workspace they were uploaded to; they do not follow you to another workspace.
- Five hundred per workspace is the cap, and uploads are one at a time, so a big set is worth planning before uploading.
- A page icon renders larger than an inline emoji. If the same file serves both, make it bold enough to read small and clean enough to look right large.
