Animated Twitch emoji generator
Animated Twitch emoji maker
Describe the emoji, pick Animated, and get a looping GIF that is already Twitch-sized: 112, 56, 28 px versions of one 128 px loop, a few KB each, under the 1 MB cap, with no compression step. On Twitch the animated slot is a status symbol: it unlocks with Affiliate, and a loop that still reads at 28 pixels is what a chat spams.
Animated emote slots unlock for Affiliates and Partners, with more for Partners. Subscribers can then use the emote in any Twitch chat.
Emojis you create are public and may appear in Explore.

How to add an animated emoji to Twitch
- 1
Draw it with Animated on, then open the emoji's own page and use the Twitch sizes links to save the 112, 56 and 28 px GIFs.
- 2
In the Creator Dashboard go to Viewer Rewards, then Emotes, and pick a free animated slot.
- 3
Upload the three files, give the emote its code (your prefix plus a short name), and submit for review.
- 4
Once Twitch approves it, subscribers can use it in your chat and everywhere else on Twitch.
Worth knowing before you upload
- Animated slots come with Affiliate or Partner status. A channel without either can upload static emotes only.
- Every emote is reviewed before it goes live, and animated ones are also checked for flashing and speed.
- The 28 px version is what most viewers see in chat. One big motion survives that size; fine detail and any text do not.
How the animation is made
1. Describe one motion
A wave, a bounce, a spin, a dance. One action reads clearly at emoji size; a whole scene does not.
2. One drawing, four frames
The model draws a single 4-frame sheet of one picture, so the subject and colours match frame to frame instead of drifting.
3. Download for Twitch
The loop is cut and encoded as a 128px GIF at 20 to 45 KB, then added with the steps above.
Animated Twitch emoji FAQ
Who can upload animated emotes on Twitch?
Affiliates and Partners, into the animated slots that unlock with the status; Partners get more of them. Anyone can make and download the GIFs, the gate is on the upload side.
What sizes does a Twitch animated emote need?
A GIF under 1 MB with at most 60 frames, uploaded as three versions at 112, 56 and 28 pixels. The emoji page provides all three from the same four-frame loop, at roughly 17, 7 and 4 KB.
Can subscribers use my animated emote in other channels?
Yes. Once approved, an emote works for your subscribers in any Twitch chat, which is why a loop that is recognisably yours travels further than a generic one.
